The Promise and the Law

Is the law then against the promises of Yahweh?

By no means: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.

But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of the Messiah might be given to them that believe.

But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto the Messiah, that we might be justified by faith.

But after that, faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

For ye are all the children of Yahweh, by faith in the Messiah.

For as many of you as have been baptized into the Messiah, have put on the top Messiah.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in the Messiah.

And if ye be the Messiah’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

  1. Hello Joy, While I do appreciate the scripture that you’re bringing and backing everything up with the bible (as it should be!). I think that’s hard for you’re “everyday” person to comprehend. Not everyone reads the bible, at first. That’s why my page is set up to reach out to the masses, not to the people that already know. I hope that helps you understand where MY page is coming from too… I’d do the emoticons but I’m still figuring this out. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. O well, I don’t believe that the Bible is hard for anyone to understand, because Yahweh gave it to us all, to study and learn.
Reaching out to non-believers is great. But are you not trying to share the truth with them? How can you share the truth by just stating something but not proving it to be true???
I do understand. And I have had a hard time backing up what I say, it’s extra work. But I learned very important rule, “to always back it up or prove why it’s true.”
People want to know where your getting your ideas that you call “truth” In this day and age where there are millions of different beliefs, no one, who is seeking truth, is going to believe something that has no way of proving that it’s true.
Maybe show how the Bible is true, then use it to back up the truth, because it is the truth.
There are also many reliable sources for information. There is nothing new under the sun. So try researching. There are many people who have already done the work, so you can find information and follow their “backing up” to make sure it’s true.
You will even learn things you didn’t know. I say “will” because no one knows everything and there is always something to learn.
    Share the truth!!!
I don’t know your beliefs. But isn’t the Bible the authority on TRUTH????

  3. So important we daily to go to His word to understand more. I see a lot of people struggle with legalism to this day and what was written then in scripture is just as relevant. Thanks for sharing ๐Ÿ™‚
