Why we should NOT call Halloween the “Devil’s Day”

I have hear people say that Halloween is the “Devil’s Day”. Don’t say that!!!!

First of all, I don’t celebrate Halloween, so I can tell you honestly why.

I use to say that it was the Devil’s Day because it is so evil.

But as followers of Yahweh, is it right for us or anyone for that matter, to surrender a day to the devil???

If we call Halloween, “the Devil’s Day”, we are saying “you rule the day, Satan!!! Go do as you want, Mr.Devil!!!”

“This is the day that Yahweh has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.”

( Psalms 118:24)

Let us not give Satan a day. Instead, let’s use this day to praise and honor Yahweh!!!

And let’s pray for all who are out trick-or-treating!!!!

Do not give the devil Dominion over this day or any day. Pray.

Praise Yahweh!!! Resist the devil!!!

  1. I think this is an interesting perspective to have. I used to say it’s Satan’s holiday. I think for some people who do indeed use this day purely for evil and focus on Satan it is more about that. I think people participate in evil and darkness in many ways, and most are not fully aware. Halloween glories in darkness, but Satan himself is not the epitome of darkness. Sin is. If anything, it’s a holiday that encourages sin. It encourages separation from Christ. I think what you are talking about is trying to raise awareness that it is so much bigger than what people see, and we absolutely should keep our eyes on Him. Yes!
