It can be so easy to remember everything bad that others do to us, and to those we hold dear. But this can lead us to hate and sin in our hearts.
We must remember that we have faults too.
We need to strive to look past the Wrongs and see the good things in those around us.
Let’s Love and look past the faults in others.
•Forgive the “Wrongs”
“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.” ~Galatians 6:1
•Remember the “Rights”
“And forgive is our debts, as we forgive our debtors.” ~Matthew 6:12
•What would Christ do?
“When Yahushua Christ had lifted up Himself, and saw none but the women, He said unto her,’ Woman, where are those thine accusers? Hath no man condemned thee?’ She said,’ No man, Master.’ And Christ Yahushua said unto her, ‘ Neither do I condemn you: go, and sin no more.'” ~John 8: 10-11
Love is… forgiving faults and recording the rights.

Part of my daily dedicating of my mind to the Lord is asking Him to help me remember what I need to remember and forget what’s best forgotten. Philippians 4:8 has a good checklist for what to focus on. ☺

Beautiful Joy! Everyday you amazes me with your blog! It’s like it’s talking to me. I’m a forgiving person but I hold grudges and that’s a area I need to pray on because I forgive but I don’t forget. So keep me in your prayers my sweet friend ❤️

Oh my holding on to things is like a disease, just eating away at us. Not only eating away at us, but our joy, happiness, and ability to move forward. It will spread to all areas of our lives, and before we know it we are consumed. Dump it, forgive, love and pray for that person that we feel wronged us, and praise God hallelujah, He will reward us with so much love it will be overwhelming. Great post Joy 🙂

Sherita, some offenses are hard (or impossible) to forget. A woman who had been blinded by an intruder in her home said that she had forgiven him, but of course she could never forget that she was blind! She said forgiveness was the difference between having a festering wound and a clean scar.
Maybe God allows the scars to stay because they tell a story of His grace. But it’s not His intention that those things keep hurting us over and over.
